As part of an ambitious initiative, IGO is creating the digital twin of the Gard department on behalf of
Territoire d’Energie Gard
. The aim of this innovative project is to create a high-resolution 3D photomaillage on a departmental scale, based on aerial shots conforming to PCRS (Plan de Corps de Rue Simplifié) specifications. The aim is to provide a realistic and accurate digital medium to support uses linked to development, network management and the energy transition.
Regional planning
Gard’s digital twin offers a powerful tool for planning and managing development projects. It enables different improvement scenarios to be simulated and their impact on the territory to be compared. This facilitates the co-construction of development projects, enabling all stakeholders to speak the same language and make informed decisions.
Network management
By providing a faithful 3D reproduction of local infrastructures, the digital twin enhances network safety. It helps to visualize and analyze environments in real time, anticipating risks and facilitating decision-making for network managers.
Energy transition
The project is part of an energy transition approach, offering a robust tool for steering public policies. It can monitor and anticipate the effects of climate change using simulation and forecasting models, and simplify decision-making by integrating environmental, economic and regulatory factors.
Gard’s digital twin represents a major technological advance for regional planning, network management and the energy transition. By offering a real-time visualization and analysis tool, it enables informed decision-making and responds to the ethical, legal, economic and technological challenges facing territories. This ambitious project, carried out by IGO for Territoire d’Énergie Gard, marks an important step in the digital transformation of territories and the sustainable management of resources.
