EDP’s initial requirement was to acquire a 3D virtual visit platform to navigate above and below ground to visualize the assets of its distribution network. The main objective was to reduce the number of in situ visits and to better prepare certain interventions on the basis of data acquired by EDP: topographical data, BIM models, point clouds and panoramic images. This initiative optimizes the operation and management of assets by providing a precise and interactive visualization of infrastructures, and facilitates the control and validation of asset data collected by Eau de Paris.
