The Metropole of Montpellier seized the opportunity of a France Relance call for projects “Develop the use of data in your territory” from the Ministry of Transformation and Public Service, to create a 4D digital twin to steer public policies in the face of the challenges of global warming and artificialization.

The Jumeau Numérique 4D application will not only provide 3D visualization of space, but will also enable the construction of indicators to observe and study, in an innovative way, the spatial, volumetric and temporal evolution of the territory in terms of strategic business themes for the Metropolis: urban renewal, vegetation, air quality, heat islands, energy transition, risk prevention…
